Ford puts itself at the time of the watch connected

Like other manufacturers, Ford is launching an application on the watches connected to electric vehicles and plug-in hybrid.

Like Tesla, Porsche, BMW or even Volvo, Ford puts in the time on the watch is connected. The american manufacturer is launching a smartwatch application for its electrified vehicles. It will enable owners of a Ford Focus Electric or C-Max Energi plug-in hybrid to check the range of their vehicle by throwing a simple glance at their wrist. Thanks to it, they will also be able to "find the path to their car (with the help of Google Maps, editor's NOTE), and then lock and unlock their vehicle at a distance", but also have an eye on the details of the last trip performed", or "the energy efficiency of their driving," says Ford (see explanatory video).

Free and in French

Dubbed "MyFord Mobile", this free application is compatible with the watch connected Android Wear and Apple Watch. Available in Dutch, English, French, German and Spanish, it is available on App Store and Google Play.
For the record, Ford announced late last year an investment of 4.5 billion dollars to fill its lineup of 13 new vehicles electrified by 2020.
