F1 - Video: The first pubs to Heineken

Videos. Heineken has unveiled its first two commercials around the Formula 1, with Jacky Stewart and David Coulthard. They are ambassadors of the brand.

The partnership between Formula 1 and Heineken, announced in Montreal, has been officially launched at Monza. The beer brand was the sponsor, title of the race and its logo was very much present on the circuit. Heineken has take the opportunity to launch its first ads around the Formula 1.
The first sets the scene Jacky Stewart, one of its ambassadors. The three-time world champion appears at various times throughout his career, refusing always to take a beer, since it has to handle (video). The brand has focused its communications around the slogan " If you drive, don't drink ". Despite this strategy, the NGO Eurocare, which is to reduce the consumption of alcohol in Europe, has criticized the partnership.
David Coulthard was at the centre of the second advertisement, the purpose of which is to highlight the atmosphere around the Formula 1 (video). It was shot in Monaco. Heineken has closed streets for six nights and temporary stands had to be installed.

Heineken is already very present

The Thursday before the race at Monza, Heineken has organized a football match on the starting grid. Fernando Alonso, Daniel Ricciardo, Max Verstappen, Sergio Pérez and Jolyon Palmer have played against a team of ex-footballers, composed of David Trézéguet, Robert Pires, Christian Karembeu, Dida and Michel Salgado (video).
The purpose of this match was to raise funds for the victims of the earthquake in Italy, which occurred less than two weeks before the race.
Side sport, the F1 drivers have done what they could but they were largely dominated. The footballers have won 22 to 10.
