F1 - tire testing continues F1 - Vettel et Wehrlein continuent les essais

Pascal Wehrlein was in a Mercedes at the Paul Ricard and Sebastian Vettel in a Ferrari in Barcelona on Wednesday, to test the slicks 2017.

Mercedes and Ferrari continued to test the slick tires from Pirelli for the season next Wednesday, on two different circuits, the Paul Ricard and Barcelona.
At Paul Ricard, Pascal Wehrlein did 89 laps in the Mercedes of the season 2015, modified to simulate the additional support of the regulation to 2017.
Sebastian Vettel took over from Kimi Räikkönen in the Ferrari last year in Barcelona. It has 156 turns. The car is also modified, with a rear spoiler wider.

Wehrlein continues the trials

Only Mercedes is still testing this Thursday, always with Pascal Wehrlein on track. The team will then resume the trial on September 21, still at Paul Ricard, but to test the slicks.
The tires will be wider next season, which requires big changes on the tyre, in the construction and compounds. The car will also have more downforce and the tires will therefore need to collect larger forces.
Mercedes, Red Bull and Ferrari are in charge of the trials. The data are shared with the other teams.
