New Chrysler Pacifica 2017

The new Chrysler Pacifica 2017, which replaces the Town & Country minivan, was presented at the start of this year and now released to the american market.

In an attempt to make the segment of the minivans is a little more exciting, Chrysler introduced in Detroit the new Pacifica 2017 was designed with the DNA of the brand, similar to the Chrysler 200 and other new models of FCA. The Pacifica 2017 uses a completely new platform, which is probably the reason why the FCA decided to get rid of the “Town & Country ” in favor of continuing with the name “Peaceful”.

While the dimensions of the truck remains basically the same, the new platform has allowed a massive loss of weight of more than 136 kilograms, tipping the scales at just 1.964 kg

The cabin interior also shows its roots in the Chrysler 200, but with new materials and colors. The highlight is a part of the 8.4 inch touch screen with the infotainment system Uconnect, and also has a new entertainment system for the rear seat with touch screens, dual 10-inch.

It is a great minivan for longer trips, since it has an inner volume total of around 5.663 liters and a load capacity 3.978 litres behind the first row. The Chrysler Pacifica 2017 also comes with Stow ‘N Go seats of Chrysle, which can fold the seats up and hide them in the soil every time you transport cargo bulky.

In terms of engines, the truck can be purchased with a V6 engine naturally aspirated that produces 287 horsepower and is paired to an automatic gearbox nine speeds. A model hybrid includes an engine, 248 horsepower, which works in conjunction with a battery of 16 kilowatt-hours and allows a fuel economy of 48 miles of electric range.

Due to the extra batteries take up more space, The Pacifica hybrid is not as practical as the normal version, since it does not include the function Stow ‘N Go rear-seat. The battery is located below the center of the vehicle and can be fully recharge in two hours using a plug-240-volt.
